Dr. Errol Salamon
Dr. Errol Salamon is Program Director, MSc in Media Management, and has been a Senior Lecturer in Media Production at the University of Stirling (Scotland, UK) in the Division of Communications, Media and Culture since April 2024. Previously, he was a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media and Communication at the University of Huddersfield (2020–2024). He has more than a decade of experience and has taught in the UK, the US, and Canada.
He writes about work, labour, and organizations in digital journalism and media industries within their historical, social, political, economic, and technological contexts.

I’ll be presenting in June 2025 at the 75th Annual International Communication Association (ICA) Conference. My paper, “Regional Precarity and Resistance in Social Media Creator Labor,” will be featured on the panel “Creator Cultures and Their Precarities.”
I’ll also be presenting in August 2025 at the 108th Annual Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Conference on the panel “The Media History of Modern Labor.”
